While tuning into Europe’s major news networks, it’s evident that today sophisticated interviews against the backdrop of marble statues are taking place in various countries. This is truly a moment of “freezing” elegance.
My connection to French art is delicately nuanced, with a slight interest in David and the Neo-Impressionists and without any specialized expertise. However, on a bitterly cold winter day in the past, at an intimate study party, I was told by a leading avant-garde art expert, also a descendant of an extraordinary Baudelaire scholar, “Your conversation is poetry.” It may sound like a silly joke, but I fondly reminisce. It was indeed a privileged time during my student years.
