Sannenzaka Correspondence

Editors’ Diary 16/08/2023

I am now fully engaged in working on my thesis at the graduate school of Econ. in Italy, where I have completed my coursework. The main approach will be Comparative Intellectual History, although sometimes I will also attempt quantitative analysis. Once again, in Japan, it appears that I will be utilizing the facilities at Hongo’s University of Tokyo for my work.

I never imagined pursuing graduate studies in this manner. With marriage plans in place, my intention was to pursue the CMA or CFA qualifications after that. It’s quite unexpected that all of those plans have been overturned, leading me to pursue a degree abroad.

I’ve heard that in Europe, degrees are regarded as national qualifications, and I consider this to be of great importance.
